Recap of Points Race #6

With the weather Gods on our side this past weekend, we had a 39 car field for the start of the 6th points race of the 2014 season. After the 2 time shots the #1 Qualifier with a perfect .000 light in his second time trial was Rich Diagle in his 1971 Nova, and that set the stage for the beginning of our day. As the day went on the rounds got tougher and tougher we where finally down to the semi-finals with Ryan HAdley taking on current points leader Wayne Farquhar in his beautiful 1969 Chevelle and Charlie Rice having the bye-run into the final round. After the smoke clear Wayne was able to take the win over Ryan and Charlie took the single shot and extra hit on the tree to get ready for the guy who has won the last two club race Mr. 000 light Wayne. As the two black beauties lit the pre-stage bulb and then the stage bulb they were locked and loaded and ready for the green light, as the two cars were hauling ass down the track it was Charlie's win light coming on as the two crossed the finish line, giving Charlie his first win of the 2014 season and breaking the streak for Wayne Farquhar. Congrats to Charlie and the rest of his Rice Racing team on their win.


With that being said the have one more points race left at New England Dragway on Saturday October 18,2014. Followed by the Top 16 race on October 19th with our invitational gamblers race. If for some reason rains on Saturday we will use Sunday as the final points race and the Top 16 race will be put off to October 25, 2014.
