Paul father passed away today , Paul's father helped Paul around the machine shop for a long time answering the phones and other jobs , he will be missed greatly thoughts and prayers are with Paul and his family may Paul sr rest in peace god speed

I will post calling hours and funeral arrangements as soon as I get them

Paul F. Krauss Sr. 74

Otter River; Paul F. Kraus Sr., 74, a resident of Otter River, MA for the last 8 years, died Wednesday, Feb. 19, in his home after a long illness, surrounded by his loving family.

His wife, Barbara (Tivan) Krauss, died in 1998.
Paul leaves two sons, Paul F. Krauss Jr., and his wife Mary Beth of Otter River, and Brian Moulton, and his wife Marie of Winchendon; two daughters, Corrine Garneau, and her husband Richard of Dracut, MA and Heidi Krauss of Gardner; one brother, Peter Krauss, and his wife Dorene of Hudson, NH; two sisters, Judy Arrasin, and her husband Doug of Fitchburg and Mary LaForest, of Vernon, NY; four grandchildren, Richard and Tatiana Krauss of Otter River, Stephanie Horne of Fitchburg and Alec Moulton of Winchendon; two great- grandchildren, Silas and Essie; one cousin, Myrna Bourdeau in Hawaii; two aunts, Phyllis Leger of Leominster and Mary Krauss of Savannah, GA; and two close friends, Richard McNamara of Sterling, MA and Ernie Shephard of Winchendon.
Mr. Krauss was the owner of
the Village Vac Service in Winchendon for many years. Most recently, Paul had been working with his son at his business, PK Machine Co. in Fitchburg.

Paul attended St. Bernard's High School in Fitchburg, and enjoyed cooking and fishing and was an avid Red Sox fan. Throughout the years, he was a Foster Parent to many children.

He was a Veteran of the U.S. Army, serving during the Vietnam Conflict with the rank of Private.

Paul was born in Fitchburg, on February 24, 1939, a son of the late Earl F., and Catherine G. (Bourdeau) Krauss.

His Funeral will be celebrated on Monday, Feb. 24, from the Smith-Mallahy-Masciarelli and Fitchburg Chapel of the Sawyer-Miller-Masciarelli Funeral Home, with a Mass at 10 a.m. in St. Martin's Church, 247 State Road, Otter River, MA.

Burial will follow in the Massachusetts Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Winchendon.

Calling Hours at the Funeral Home are on Sunday, Feb. 23, from 4 to 6 p.m.

Flowers may be sent or memorial contributions may be made to the Veteran Homestead, 69 High St., Fitchburg, MA 01420 or may be left at the Funeral Home.
