The club had their 3rd points race this past weekend at New England Dragway. With the great weather shining down on us we had a largest field in quite sometime of 49 cars. Our #1 qualifier was 2014 Club Champion Wayne Farquhar driving his trusty Malibu earning him the bye run into the second round. As the rounds went on we were left with four guys duking it out for the #1 spot of the day. In the semi-final round we Jesse Farquhar in his borrowed Camaro taking on Keith Rice in his 1984 Monte Carlo SS, and on the other side of the ladder we saw Richie Consenza in his gear jamming 1966 Chevelle taking on Jimmy Lyman in his 1974 Camaro and was the smoke settle it was Jesse taking out Keith and Richie taking out Jimmy setting up our final round of the day Jesse vs Richie.
After the burnouts it was time to get locked and loaded for the final run of a great day and as Richie turned on the red light giving the automatic win to Jesse for his first win of 2015. A big congratulations goes out to Jesse on winning his first CMDR race and Richie on his great performance getting his way to his first final of 2015. The next race is July 18th at Lebanon Valley.
The club would like to thank all the sponsors for all your help and please remember that the 20th Reunion race is approaching fast and we are in need for sponsor for that race as well, we are trying to make this race a huge success and I have a feeling that it is going to be a great time and one that you are not going to want to miss.
Just a reminder that the club will have a display of cars at the Sterling Airport for the annual 330ft drags. The website is dragreunion.com for anyone that is interested in racing at this event.
