Yes it was an awesome day at NED, I must say I was happy to see 29 of your guys there. I didn't think with the chance of rain that to many of you were going to make it to MED for our first CMDR race of 2011.

Congrats goes out to "new guy" Tim McHugh on his #1 Qualifying position with a .006 light first time trial. I will say this watching all of the Time Trials I will say this, some of you guys were out there to win, there was great lights by many of you and it maybe it very interesting to watch.

There was four "old timers" in the semi-finals. Three Pontiacs and an Olds, that's right Mel Ericson made it to the semi's. I will never admit I said this in front of anyone, but I thought it was going to be Mel's day. He was on the tree all day long, and his car was running very consistent. I think he may get his first CMDR win if he keeps this up. And we can't forget about the other 3 Pontiac guys, Mr. Pelto (always a guy to watch out), Mr. Whitter (another on his game) and Mr. May (who's car was running like a finely tuned wrist watch). But in the end there is only one guy who can take home the hardware and today it was a battle between the Red GTO's and when the smoke cleared Mr. Craig Whitter was the winning of the first CMDR race of 2011. Way to go Craig!!

I will say this, I am not one for watching racing, as I Would have rather of been racing myself. But watching everyone yesterday and seeing all of us doing what we wait to do all winter, it was a pleasure running the race yesterday and I hope you all thought I did a good job. Thanks again for everyone that came out yesterday, and I look forward to seeing you all at the next race at Oxford Plains in June.
