1 wire alternator stays excited....

and not in a good way.... I have a powermaster 1 wire alternator, when i shut the truck off its staying excited putting a 4 amp draw on the battery... any free way to fix this? any warranties are long expired.

If you have a ON/OFF kill switch mounted on the back of your hotrod have your wire off your alternator run to one post and the other should be going to the positive post of the battery. when you move the switch to the off position it will be impossible to have a draw. Hope you have a kill switch or else ignore my post. ;)
